Although both musicians come from the same country, they only really got to know each other in 2017 when Pascal launched his electronic project Drops & Points. Excited by Ryvage's first single, Mountains & Valleys, Pascal asked the electro producer to remix one of the tracks from his new album. Ryvage’s choice quickly fell on "Bubbles" for its narrative and cinematographic side and the rework appeared in 2018 on the Drop & Points Reworks EP alongside the likes of Stimming & Paul Frick. A year later, Ryvage released his first EP "Tides" and it was clear to him that he would like to see one of these tracks reworked by Schumacher. He asked the multi-instrumentalist if he wanted to reinterpret the track "Program" with the only indication to use the vibraphone as the main instrument.

Says Ryvage : "I've always dreamed of a purely instrumental and acoustic version of the track that would highlight the melodies and harmonic suites of the song. When I received the first version of Pascal's rework I was so touched that I listened to it over and over again. It's very beautiful to hear a composition of one's own being interpreted with such finesse and sensitivity. Pascal managed to express the fragility inherent to the original song while putting his very own touch to it".
